The members of the Great Falls Rescue Squad are on call 24 hours per day, seven days a week and provide necessary rescue and EMS operations.  The Squad serves to back-up Chester and Fairfield County EMS within our response area (SE Chester County to include the Townships of Great Falls, Fort Lawn, Blackstock, Richburg, and NE Fairfield County (within 3-5 miles of county line). We also provide emergency extrication, land/water search/rescue operations, and teaching life-saving CPR/First Aid to the community. In the event that EMS is tied up or unavailable, our volunteers become the primary response EMS provider to our citizens. Mutual aid agreements are in place to assist surrounding municipalities in the event of disasters.

The Great Falls Rescue Squad offers training to individuals and daycare/healthcare workers. Individuals who would like CPR or First Aid classes can e-mail their contact information to tdsrn@truvista.net or call 803-482-4315. American Heart Association certificate fees are $5 per card.

For daycare/healthcare workers, there is a $25 instruction fee which includes the $5 certificate fee. Proceeds benefit our volunteer organization. All classes are taught by the American Heart Association's standards and are taught at our operations facility located at 560 Chester Avenue, Great Falls, SC.
